Bespoke Spectacle Styling

Our mission is to help you look your very best. Predicated on this, our frame collection is chosen with You in mind. The good news is that looking stylish does not have to break the bank. Spectacles have come a long way in their evolution from medical frames! Our Tynemouth practice offers a rare, fresh perspective for younger and older audience groups. We are passionate about clever craftsmanship, design detail, technology and, the right shape to suit your face. Sam and Sarah take pride in choosing carefully and will take their time with you.

From the quiet confidence of Lindberg and Gotti, to the glamour of Tom Ford,
At Concept in Tynemouth, you are treated like a celebrity. Whilst there is something special here for everyone, individual style and personality is respected as part of this optician’s unique ethos and frame-work of client care. Your spectacles are more than a vision aid. They are also a lifestyle statement and an important emotional investment, complimenting your personality and the image you want to project.

“People have busy lives. At Concept, we understand this but also take
time to get to know our clients and understand their needs. That’s why we’ve
introduced an after work ‘twilight clinic’. I love the fashion and style aspect of
helping someone who is a first time glasses wearer, perhaps a little nervous
and doesn’t know where to begin.. to someone who has worn glasses for
years and now wants something different, who has the confidence to carry
off a bold statement.”

Sam, Clinic Lead.

The latest advice for contact lens wearers is that there is no evidence to date that contact lens wear should be avoided by healthy individuals, or that contact lens wearers are more at risk of contracting coronavirus then those wearing spectacles.
To help maintain healthy contact lens wear, all contact lenses wearers should follow correct lens wear and care instructions, including thoroughly washing and drying your hands before handling, applying and removing your contact lenses. Spectacles should be washed regularly using warm soapy water. In the absence of the diagnosis of COVID-2 and in the absence of symptoms of fever, cough, red eye or discharge and provided that scrupulous hygiene is practised then contact lens wear is permissible. Social distancing ( minimum of 2m) should be exercised. Spectacle wear would be the preferred mode of sight correction or daily wear contact lens wear.

Whilst transmission is via viral respiratory particles we know that viral particles can be found in the tears and this can cause viral conjunctivitis. It is probable that the affected individual will experience primary symptoms such as fever and cough.
